    Made with a 50% wool/50% tencel bought from Ellen's Half Pint Farm at Camp Stitches, NY The pattern is designed by Candace Eisner Strick. 75% complete 8/19/2006 - probably will be sitting in the bag a little longer. Maybe I should rip out and make socks from the yarn?

Water Hibiscus

Look what I found blooming in the pond today!

Water_hibiscus The first flower from a plant Claire gave to Chuck for Father's Day!  It must have realized that today was surgery day for Chuck - getting his knee repaired - and was trying to cheer him up.  (The surgery went well, uneventful, and Chuck is feeling OK.)  There are 2 more buds on the plant so it should be flowering for awhile.

I am hoping to take some pictures this weekend of my knitting.  The colors always seem to come out better in the daylight.

Hi,

Found you on Knitters Review--I am also a CPA. Is that why we don't mind "counting" stitches...anyway, I've been knitting about 1 1/2 yrs, have 2 kids (13 & 11 yrs old), a husband, and dog and work part time (full time during THE SEASON) sometimes I just want to stay home and knit! Later with those taxes & financial statements.
